MEASURE THE RIGHT THING
A large opening is not the same as a large clear passage
A useful custom pivot-door review separates the wall opening, complete frame, moving leaf, pivot position and walk-through clearance. Share the current drawing status and label every dimension instead of sending one unexplained width and height.

DIMENSIONS TO IDENTIFY
DRAWING CHECK
Mark the entrance from both sides
Show the exterior and interior view, opening direction, pivot side, handle line, adjacent walls, floor levels and nearby fixed glazing. A plan explains movement; elevations explain proportion and finish alignment.
- Plan with pivot axis and swing direction
- Exterior and interior elevations
- Width, height and wall or frame depth
- Finished-floor and threshold relationship
- Sidelight, fixed panel and transom dimensions
- Required clear passage or accessibility input
PROJECT RESPONSIBILITY
Do not copy another supplier’s allowance into a different door system
Frame allowances, gaps, hardware geometry and site preparation vary by selected system and project. The responsible architect, contractor, local installer or engineer should verify final openings and local requirements against the approved shop drawing before construction or production.
