Wood-Grain Finish or Genuine Solid Wood?
Wood-Grain Printing and Transfer
Dooream offers 5D wood-grain printing and wood-grain transfer as selectable finish processes. These create a wood-grain appearance; they should not be described as solid timber. The substrate, process, texture and suitability for the entrance exposure are confirmed for the order.
Steel Frame with Solid-Wood Panels
Dooream can also custom configure an internal steel frame with genuine solid-wood panels for a pivot or armored entrance door. This is a different material route from veneer or wood-look coating. Wood species, panel thickness, steel specification, dimensions and weight must be reviewed for the project.
If genuine wood is essential, state it at the start. Ask for the actual proposed construction and a material sample rather than approving the material from an image alone.
Coordinate Grain, Joints and Hardware
- Grain direction: compare vertical and horizontal layouts against adjacent joinery and wall cladding.
- Panel divisions: confirm where joints fall on the moving leaf, fixed panels and any sidelights.
- Handle detail: choose whether the pull should stand apart or sit within a recessed line.
- Inside and outside: identify whether both faces need the same appearance before the configuration is quoted.

Choose for the Actual Exterior Position
Send the project location and explain whether the entrance is sheltered or directly exposed to sun and rain. A wood-grain appearance is not a weather rating, and genuine wood is not automatically the right surface for every position. Material, finish and maintenance requirements need to suit the agreed configuration.

Questions before Choosing a Wood Finish
Can you use real wood rather than wood-grain paint?
Yes. A steel internal frame with genuine solid-wood panels can be custom configured. Confirm the wood species, panel details, exposure and complete structure before ordering; the reference photos are not proof of a specific material build-up.
Can a pivot door open manually without an electric operator?
Yes, a manually operated configuration is available. Door movement and lock power are separate choices. If you select a smart lock, a mechanical key or another non-powered backup can be discussed and confirmed for that model.
Can I provide my own lock?
You can send the lock model, dimensions and specifications for compatibility review. We confirm suitability with the door design before accepting that hardware configuration.
Do I need complete drawings before contacting you?
No. Start with a reference image and a short description of your project. Opening dimensions, quantity and lock requirements can follow as the design and quotation take shape.
